- I'm a linguist. Not the sort that speaks lots of languages (just two for me), but the sort who studies language - what it is and how it works. I'm working on my PhD in Massachusetts, but I come from Texas, where most of my friends and family still are. I go back as much as I can afford to.

i really, really want to hear you speak. along with a few of the others listed...do tell me if any of this stuff is videotaped, would ya?
Haha - thank god, it is not. As far as I know. It'd be nice to have a friend in the audience, though. I'm the only one from my department here, and a bit nervous.
